PROCESSING TIME

Orders received between Monday and Friday are processed in 2-3 business days. Orders received on Saturday and Sunday will be entered into the system for processing on Monday. Upon shipping, an email notification with a tracking number will be sent.

SHIPPING COSTS*

12 Scents is pleased to offer FREE STANDARD DOMESTIC SHIPPING on all orders $100 or more (excluding taxes). For shipments totaling less than $100, a flat rate of $10 will be applied, unless otherwise noted.  We ship via US Postal Service (USPS) or United Parcel Service (UPS) as described below:

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

We currently ONLY ship internationally to Canada and are required to use UPS Ground. However, please expect shipping delays due to customs. 

RESTRICTIONS

Restricted Shipping Options for Perfume:
Due to federal regulations relating to shipping hazardous materials (and us being rule followers), our options are  limited for shipping our perfumes. Our perfumes are made with perfumer's alcohol which is a flammable liquid. Flammable liquids are considered hazardous and are restricted from all methods of air transportation. Accordingly, we are currently only able to ship our perfumes using UPS Ground or USPS Surface. Each service has different destination restrictions.

Note that our candles are not subject to the same restrictions. 

Also… if you are in the greater Seattle area and need a quick turn-around, you may request to pick up the merchandise in person. We want to help you get that last minute gift to the lucky recipient on time, but we won’t always be able to accommodate such requests. Zip us a note and we’ll see what we can do to help our fellow 12 in need. We promise to try.
 
Alaska & Hawaii:
Due to your distance and the logistics involved with shipping perfumes via boat, we have to charge an additional $10 for orders to Alaska and Hawaii.  Please also expect delays.  Although, we suspect you are already quite familiar with the challenges of receiving packages from the mainland.  
 
Overnight & Express Shipping:
The regulations also prevent us from offering expedited delivery of perfume to any location because they prohibit transportation of flammable liquids via air. Overnight and Express Shipping of candles are by Special Request Only. Please email us for availability and a pricing quote and see the note above for in-person pick up for Seattle Area residents.
 
PO Boxes & APO/EPO Orders
Unfortunately, we do not ship to PO Box or APO/EPO addresses at this time. However, if you are trying to ship to a PO Box and you truly have no street address available to use as a shipping destination (e.g. a remote village in Alaska), please contact us at hello@12scents.com and we will see if we can accommodate your request.
 
RETURNS POLICY

All sales from 12 Scents are final. Due to the personal nature of our products we cannot accept exchanges or offer refunds. We offer individual sample sizes and sampler sets of all our products for your convenience and recommend that you try them before purchasing full size bottles.

If we have tracking information and delivery confirmation available from the courier, we cannot replace or refund items that you do not receive. Nor can w replace or refund items that are damaged or destroyed during transit. Unfortunately, you will need to make a claim directly with the courier. However, we are happy to assist you with that process from our end too. Please email us at hello@12scents.com and we will hop on it.
 
Defective or incorrectly shipped merchandise will be replaced.  All claims must be made within 14 days of receipt of merchandise for a replacement. Please contact us at returns@12scents.com to receive your Return Merchandise Authorization number (RMA#).  Replacements without an RMA # may not be replaced.

You are responsible for return shipping costs, however, we will not charge you for shipping the replacement product back out to you.
